In this unit you will learn how to create supplementary material using MICROSOFT software, and especially WORD, as well as using web space that is available free of charge and allows the instant creation and publication of web sites. At the same time, you will be offered detailed instructions about using corpora, mainly for teaching vocabulary, as well using already available web pages in teaching Modern Greek. In this unit you will find detailed instructions for the use of software programmes as well as their implementation in the language classroom.

In this unit, you will learn how to use the HOT POTATOES software in order to create electronic convergent assessment activities (the term “assessment activities” is used here instead of the term “exercises”). Apart from the instructions for creating these activities, you will be given information about strategies of integrating each of the activities the software supports into teaching practice. You can find convergent activities in several textbooks used in teaching Greek as a second/foreign language.

In this unit you will be exposed to tandem learning organization methods that aim at your learners’ simultaneous communication with other learners/uses of Modern Greek through tools of simultaneous communication such as Skype
More specifically, you will learn how to use SKYPE and instant communication engines of Microsoft.
